Course Description:
This course provides an in-depth study of the theory and practice of managerial cost accumulation concepts and techniques for product and service costing, planning and control. Special emphasis will be placed on the use of cost accounting information for decision making and the preparation, analysis and use of cost accountng information. Topics include process costing, job order costing, variable costing, direct costing, standard costing, profit planning, and activity based costing. Related theory and application will also be reviewed. This course will provide part, but not all of the preparation needed for the CPA exam.

Method:
This class is held online. Weekly assignments and additional chapter information can be found at Web Access. Each week you should review the lecture notes on WebAccess. The links to the powepoint slides can be found at the textbook website. You are responsible for checking in at Web Access on a daily basis to make sure you are meeting all necessary deadlines.
