- Complementary (2 colors): directly across from each other on the color wheel
- Triadic color set (3 colors) - colors that form a triangle on the color wheel (image)
- Quadratic color set (4 colors) - colors that form a square or rectangle

- Open color mixer
- Put small dab of color on pad (use second brush icon to mix) (not in middle, you need to leave room for mixing other colors!)
- Use palette knife icon to mix colors. Mix color from the color to the black and mix white to the color.
- Open color set window. Go to arrow on upper right side of window. Scroll to "make color set from Mixer Pad. Sort by HLS (hue, luminence (value), saturation. Save color set. Name by colors (YO_RO_BG). Save to your folder or device.
- To reload, go to color set window. Click on arrow in upper right. Open color set. Find set. (might need to have "show all files" or "text" file option in file type. Click open.
- Append (add) colors. Color set window. Append color. Save.
