| 1 | Use one of your sketch book objects or bring a photo of a colorful object |
| 2 | Make 2 color sets (triadic or quadratic). One should be cool color dominant |
| 3 | Give each one a ground color (paper color). One should have a cool color ground. One should have a warm color ground. Value of color should be 35% and Saturation should be 45%. |
| 4 | Work with the warm color set on cool ground. Cool set on warm ground. |
| 5 | Use oils, artists oils, palette knife. You can try impasto, but it is somewhat diffcult to control. |
| 6 | Start with the dark values and work up to the light values. Layer warm over cool. Low - high opacity. |
| 7 | We are aiming for a painting where brushwork is important. Slide saturation down to check your values. you can use a mixture of clone and color set. |
