Welcome
to the Class!
Course Description.
The course is designed to provide a supportive classroom
environment in which students are encouraged and expected to learn, review
and apply concepts of English-language grammar. The students will be exposed
to grammar through listening, speaking, reading, and writing activities.
The objective of the course is to enable the students to apply the material
to real-life situations appropriately and with confidence.

Magazine for only 59 cents a week.
Textbook Required:
Grammar Links 3 Textbook by J. van Zante, D. Daise, Charl
Norloff, and R. Falk and Grammar Links 3 Workbook. Both books are available
at the Canada College Bookstore.
Your attendance and active participation is essential to your success
in the course. Exams and homework are used to reinforce the material covered
in class and to evaluate student's progress in the course. Please note:
homework is to be completed before coming to class. In addition to the
textbook and workbook, you are required to keep a floppy disk, which you
will use for all your writing, and a folder in which you will collect
examples from newspapers and magazines. You maybe be asked to share your
notebooks and your writing with the class.
Grading
Criteria:
Tests 20% Assignments and Journals 20% Attendance 20%
In-class Participation 20%, Pair and Group Work 20%
In addition, extra credit will be given for participation in cultural
activities at Canada College and for forming study groups to work on grammar,
keyboarding and word-processing
