Computer Literacy

Demonstration of computer literacy is a requirement for all associate degrees and certificate programs begun before Fall 2011. To meet the requirement students may complete a course (see the College Catalog for more information regarding course choices) or take a computer literacy test that is hands-on exercises.

Students must pre-register for the test. Please contact Charlene Suda at (650) 306-3383 or suda@smccd.edu, one week prior to the test date. Testing takes place in Building 13, Room 217. Please be on time. Tests begin promptly!

Fall 2011 Testing

Tuesday, Sept. 13 - 3:00–5:00p.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 19 - 4:00–6:00p.m.
Thursday, Nov. 17 - 4:00–6:00p.m.
Monday, Dec. 5 - 3:00–5:00p.m.

Spring 2012 Testing

Tuesday, Feb 7 3:00–4:00p.m.
Wednesday, March 14 4:00–5:00p.m.
Thursday, April 19 4:00–5:00p.m.
Monday, May 7 3:00–5:00p.m.

Please note: Beginning in Fall 2011, computer literacy testing is no longer required for students who are beginning their associate degree and certificate programs in Fall 2011. Consult your counselor if you have any questions.
