Hours: Monday - Thursday 8:30am-2:30pm. Friday 9:00am-12noon.
Tuesday and Wednesday evening 4:30-7:00pm.
The Cañada Student Health Center is available for all students and provides healthcare services, referral services and educational information related to health issues. Students can visit the College Nurses during the above hours, or call and make a convenient appointment.
Services include:
- Information and consultation about health problems
- Minor illness care
- Over-the-ounter medications
- Personal Health Counseling
- PLAN B- Emergency Contraception( Morning after pill )- $15.00
- Pregnancy Testing and Counseling
- HIV Testing and Counseling
- TB Skin Testing
- Blood Pressure screening and monitoring
- Assistance with referrals for medical and dental care, and psychological services
- First Aid
- Arrangements for emergency care
- Free condoms
- Quiet and private rest area
- Immunizations: Tetanus, MMR, HPV(Gardisil) for age 18 and under Flu shots in season, Hepatitis B 18 yrs and under-all free. Hepatitis B- $35 each of 3 shots
Health Insurance
Quality Health Insurance is available at a reasonable cost for students taking nine or more units of credit. All enrolled students are covered by the District's Accident Insurance for accidents that happen on campus or during college related activities
