Emergency on Campus?

In case of emergency, call 9-9-1-1 from an on-campus phone or 9-1-1 from the pay phone located outside the Bookstore and ask that “Canada One” be notified. Then - contact Security at 306-3420 or 9-642-7001.

Student Health Center is available for all students and provides healthcare services, referral services and educational information related to health issues. Students can visit the College Nurse during the above hours, or call and make a convenient appointment.

Free Services include:

  • First Aid
  • Over-the-counter medications
  • Blood Pressure screening
  • Strep Tests
  • Pregnancy Test

Minimum Fee Services include:

  • Physicals ($30)
  • PAPs (female exams $40)
  • Lab Work: Titers: Measles-Mumps-Rubella - MMR ($35), Varicella ($15), Hepatitis B ($10); Complete Blood Count - CBC ($5), Complete Metabolic Profile ($10), Cholesterol Test ($15), Thyroid Test ($10), STD Test: HIV ($10), Gonorrhea/Chlamydia ($35), Syphilis ($5)
  • Immunizations: Measles, Mumps, Rubella - MMR ($10), Tetanus-Diptheria-Pertussis (Whooping Cough) (Tdap) ($10), Hepatitis B ($30), Tuberculosis Skin Test ($10)
  • Birth Control ($15)
  • Emergency Contraception ($15)

SMCCCD approved voluntary insurance programs for domestic and international students who don’t have private insurance:

Health Insurance

Quality Health Insurance is available at a reasonable cost for students taking nine (9) or more units of credit. All enrolled students are covered by the District's Accident Insurance for accidents that happen on campus or during college related activities. 

Need a quiet place to rest? Nap?

The Health Center has a private room with soft lighting and a comfy cot in which to rest.
