To earn an Associate in Science degree in Computer & Information Science (CIS), complete any of the CIS Certificate requirements OR the CIS Transfer program, plus the College's General Education requirements.  The A.S. degree requires completion of at least 60 semester units.

Students can earn Certificates (either Certificate Programs or Certificates of Completion) without completing the A.S. degree general education requirements. Certificate Programs require at least 38 units. Certificates of Completion require 6 - 12 units.

All students intending to earn certificates or degrees, or planning to transfer to a university, are strongly encouraged to meet with a CIS advisor.
