Since your counseling session will only be 25-30 minutes long, make sure you are well prepared with the following information prior to your session to better utilize your time with the Counselor.

LOOK AT and STUDY the SCHEDULE OF CLASSES
List 2 or 3 general education requirements, 2 or 3 courses that are of interest to you that
may be relevant to your major.

After you have completed the admission application, placement testing, and this College Orientation you are ready to meet with a Counselor or Advisor. Use the Schedule of Classes or the College website to retrieve more information about the schedule of Counseling Services. Typically counseling services are heavily impacted during the registration periods and you need to be prepared to wait for services. Your pre-enrollment session is no longer than 25 minutes
and it is important, to make the best use of this time, that you prepare by completing the worksheet that will be available at the end of this orientation.
