You may have heard that the College of San Mateo had an outstanding 2005 season and finished with a record of 8-3. You also may have heard the Bulldogs were ranked 9th in the nation, but have you heard that there were TWO ALL-AMERICANS, THREE ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICANS, ONE ALL-STATE, and the NOR CAL Conference MVP. James Tretheway OL, El Camino, was both an All-American on the field and an Academic All-American in the classroom (3.71). Alex Reyes OL, Santa Clara, was and All-American, and Landon Laurusaitis OL, San Mateo was an Academic All-American (3.52). Andrew Havili OL, Burlingame was an Academic All-American (3.31), while Julian Edelman QB, Woodside, was All-State and the Nor Cal Conference MVP.

The PAC10, Conference USA, the WAC, and the Big West conferences all recognized these outstanding athletes at CSM, by offering scholarships at midyear. James Tretheway OL, signed with the University of Arizona. Alex Reyes OL, has been offered a scholarship from Marshall University. David Lomu, DL signed with San Jose State University. Landon Laurusaitis OL and Andrew Havili OL, were signed by Portland State
University. Ryan Higgins WR, signed with Southern Utah, and there definitely will be more to come as the year progresses.

"I am thrilled to be able to continue playing football and couldn't have done it without the support and structure here at CSM." James Tretheway, All American and University of Arizona signee.
