| The hard work exhibited by the players, coaches, and support staff has paid off as the College of San Mateo football program has once again produced an impressive crop of student athletes who are moving on and continuing both their education and athletic careers at 4 year institutions. The goal of the CSM football program is to “Develop each and every student athlete in the classroom, in the weight room, and on the football field in order to pave the road for present and future success”.
Based on the list below, there is no doubt that this mission has been accomplished. The scholarships awarded to these young men total in excess of $800,000. The combination of academics and athletics is a strong emphasis at the College of San Mateo and becomes the foundation for success. James Trethway, Academic All American, summarized it best when he said, “CSM helped me achieve my goal of playing in the PAC 10 and getting a top notch education”.
