CSM completed a perfect home season and clinched at least a tie for the Coast Conference championship with an easy 56-21 win over Monterey Peninsula. San Mateo, the highest scoring team among the state’s 70 community colleges rolled up 622 yards of offense.

There’s an old adage that says defense wins championships. If that’s the case, then CSM is in good hands. The 9th ranked in the state Bulldogs ball-hawking defense came away with four interceptions in defeating West Valley.
