"CSM Holds on For Wild 38-35 win over Chabot"

Coming into their first game of the season, many question marks hung over the College of San Mateo football team. Could they equal last season’s bowl berth? Could Hassan Noble step in to replace Jason Douglas at quarterback? How would the loss of 10 starters to graduation effect the defense? While it will take more than a single game to answer those questions, Saturday’s opener against Chabot brought a much needed win to start the season.

Week #2
"Second Half Propels CSM over Merced, 28-7"

Game Recap
The Bulldogs were able to overcome a sluggish first half performance and come away with a 28-7 victory over Merced College. The Bulldog defense rose to the challenge, throttling Merced’s rushing attack and holding them scoreless in the second half.

"All Around Effort Propels CSM to Easy Win"

The College of San Mateo Football team put together its most complete effort of the season to date with a 55-14 win over Cabrillo on Saturday night. The Bulldogs offense rolled up 561 total yards while the defense, which continues to improve week to week, limited Cabrillo to just 206 yards of offense.

"Bulldogs Bury Gavilan 58-10"

Game Recap
How dominating was the College of San Mateo’s football team in a 58-10 win over Gavilan College on Saturday? Luther Mason listed as a cornerback, had one carry for 51 yards and a touchdown. Mason’s scoring romp was just one of several big plays the Bulldogs made in dismantling the Rams.

"CSM Overcomes Mistakes, Beats Los Medanos"

The College of San Mateo football team look out of sync. They committed a game’s worth of penalties in the first half alone. Despite the mistakes, the Bulldogs still handled the host Mustangs in the conference opener for both teams.

"San Jose Can’t Keep up with Jones"

Akbar Jones tied a single –game College of San Mateo football record with four touchdowns in leading the Bulldogs to an easy 50-0 win over San Jose City.

Moments after the CSM football team broke its post game huddle, players were advising each other not to celebrate too much. Many players knew that the Golden Gate Conference championship was at stake with their next matchup with Laney College

Akbar Jones took the opening kickoff 98 yards in setting the tone, leading the Bulldogs to a 42-20 win over host Laney for the Golden Gate Conference Champions.
