Accomplishments

... The Peninsula Health Care District Board (PHCD) recently announced that it will grant CSM's Nursing Program $224,450 . The funding will enable the program to hire two full-time clinical instructors and allow the class to increase enrollment from 36 students to 48 per year for two years, beginning in fall 2005. The health care district has been supporting CSM similarly since 2000.

... According to the most recent data on the subject (1995-2003) from the California Community Colleges State Chancellor's Office, CSM is a leader in graduation and transfer success in the 109-community college system. The College is fifth in the state in AA/AS degree and certificate ranking, 14th in the transfer ranking and fifth in the academic success ranking (a combination of the first two rankings). And as reported previously here, CSM was voted "Best College" in the Peninsula for 2004 in two local newspaper reader polls. This information is nicely featured in a flier posted on CSM's Web site at collegeofsanmateo.edu. Once there, under "All Students," click "Student Services Online" and "Good News for CSM - year 2004 Award."
