Frances Schulze has been on the full-time faculty at CSM since January 1990.  She has taught mainly ESL Grammar/Writing and Listening/Speaking courses.  She has also worked in the ESL/English Writing Center and served on various department, college, and district committees.  In the past few years, she has been actively involved with the CSM Outreach Project.  She has visited local high schools and the San Mateo Adult School, informing ESL students about the ESL classes and the student services at CSM.

A graduate of SF State University, Frances earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mandarin and a Master’s Degree in TESOL/Linguistics.  She taught Adult Ed- ESL in SF for 10 years and has been teaching in the San Mateo Community College District (Skyline College and CSM) for over 26 years.  Frances enjoys traveling, running, and playing Scrabble, but most of all; she loves working with ESL students.  She welcomes students into her friendly, fun, and active-learning classes.
