The Biology Department at the College of San Mateo would like to welcome you to an exciting future in our department. As a result of a successful bond measure we have moved into a new state of the art science building. Classrooms are equipped with the latest technologies to make your learning more enjoyable. The department is excited to develop new initiatives that challenge our students to become better learners, train them for 21st Century jobs, and develop their ability to integrate biological knowledge into their daily lives. We have a very diverse population at CSM with students of all types. We realize that 80% of you work and attend classes, 22% of you are immigrants and 45% of you are 26 years or older. As faculty we enjoy the challenge of helping you reach your goals and most importantly, become global citizens. We look forward to sharing these exciting times with you. |
