High school students can earn 0.5 units of college credit in CRER 410 (CRN 38977) for participating in Expanding Your Horizons through Concurrent Enrollment.
Course Credit & Grades Concurrent enrollment students will receive college credit for all coursework successfully completed. In addition, students may request that a transcript be sent to their high school registrar to be considered for credit toward high school graduation. Grade reports are not mailed upon completion of the semester; however, grades may be obtained by requesting an official or unofficial transcript. Grades are accessible online through WebSMART. Refer to the Schedule of Classes for information on utilizing these services. Responsibilities The primary educational responsibility for high school students who participate in the Concurrent Enrollment Program rests with the high school. The high school and college coordinate counseling services to maximize educational benefits for students. The high school assumes the responsibility of obtaining parental permission for students applying for admission and participating in the Concurrent Enrollment Program. The Application for Admission and the Concurrent Enrollment Program Application must be fully completed along with all required signatures. Incomplete applications will not be processed College Records All college level coursework for which a grade is issued becomes part of the permanent academic record of the student. An official college transcript that is authorized by the student's written request will be provided to his/her high school. Each college student should consult with the appropriate high school official as to how the coursework may be used as part of the high school record. Privacy Of Records Once enrolled in college, all rights to access student records belong to the student. This includes the following: Registration Information Class Attendance Financial Aid Class Performance Grades Transcripts The student has the right to keep this privacy or to authorize others (i.e., parent, other family members) to have access to their records. Student wishing to release records to a third party must complete "Verification of Enrollment Request " form available in Admissions & Records Office. Code Of Conduct/Academic Standards A concurrently enrolled student is expected to complete all class requirements, maintain a 2.0 grade point average or better in all college classes, and adhere to the College's Code of Conduct, (refer to the Skyline College Catalog and/ or Skyline College Student Handbook). The Skyline College Student Handbook is available through the Student Activities Office; the Skyline College Catalog is available in the College Bookstore. Both documents are available on-line at skylinecollege.edu Non-Resident Tuition Fee Students who have not been California residents (as defined in the Education Code) for a full year before the beginning of the semester for which they are applying, or who are attending as international students with an F-1 visa, are required to pay non-resident tuition.
