Circulation
|
|
|
Audience
acknowledges that section of road that traverses campus between
Buildings 1 and 3 needs improvement to manage interface between
pedestrian and vehicle.
Audience
stated that traffic consist of both college and neighbor vehicular
circulation from and to Farm Hill and Cañada Road. Some
attendees recommended restricting access to the campus to only the
College Community.
There
was consensus that road improvements from the intersection from
lots 2 and 3 past Building 1 decent to Cañada Road and to
the athletic fields needs improvements to manage interface between
pedestrians and vehicles. Some mechanisms to achieve improvements
were discussed, such as:
Managing
width of road,
Incorporating
landscaping,
Utilization
of bumps following District standards
Improvement
of vehicular signage
Other
considerations for road improvements in different areas of campus:
Consider
construction of Jogging Trails/Walking
Provide
safe pathway to tennis courts
A
question was raised about a potential conflict with incorrectly
using the fire road as a drop-off at Building 9.
Attendees
anticipates changes on vehicular circulation pattern after
completion of Building 9. Some recommended to shift/and or adding
a bus stop from current location to Parking Lot 1.
There
were specific concerns about the lack of clear vehicular
signage. Ongoing way finding project will be reviewed
