PROJECT NAME:

CSM B16/Kiosk Power Upgrade/ Coffee Service Utility Installation

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Upgrade electrical service for Building 16, the Kiosk and future Coffee Service site between Buildings 16 and 18.  More information to follow from Virgil Stanford regarding the Coffee Service site.

SCHEDULE:

Monday, May 8, 2006 thru May 15, 2006, from 6am to 5pm

CAMPUS IMPACT:

1. Temporary Closure of southeast entry/exit from Building 17 from 7am to 5pm. Please use the B17 northeast entry/exit until the trenching is completed.
2. Utility Trenching from B16 Basement to B17 Southeast Entrance (Construction work will take place in the landscape area near the B17 Entry and require temporary closure of the B17 SE Entry for a few days. Access from the B17 NE will be maintained.)
3. Coffee Service Pad Excavation near B17 SE Entrance and Exterior Patio Wall (Construction work will take place in the landscape area near the B17 Entry.)
4. Building 16 North Basement Wall Concrete Coring (The work will involve the use of heavy equipment and noisy concrete coring saws in the B16 Basement. It will be conducted during off-class hours.)
5. Minor dust and dust/machine odors for B16 and B17 may be generated.
6. Ventilation to B16 and B17 will be turned off to control noise and odor issues by Facilities.
