PROJECT NAME:

 

CSM Coffee Cart / B16 and Kiosko Power Redistribution

 

 

 

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

 

Campus Load Center 3 Electrical Shut-down – B10/11/12, B13, B14, B15, B16, B17, B19, B33, B34

 

The electrical power supply from CSM Load Center 3 will be shut down twice during 2006 Summer Break to allow for the upgrade of the electrical service in B16.

 

The Campus buildings listed above will be affected from 6am to 12pm, on Tuesday, 06/06/06 and on Friday, 06/09/06.

 

This will not affect CSM Campus buildings not listed above.

The District Office will not be affected at all.

 

 

 

SCHEDULE:

 

June 5, 2006, Monday and June 9, 2006, Friday, 6am to 12pm

 

 

 

CAMPUS IMPACT:

 

The Central Campus buildings listed above at CSM will be shut-off from the Campus Load Center 3 power grid and will be without a back-up power system.

 

Affected building occupants are requested to suspend any occupancy or use of the buildings listed above, until the electrical service can be restored.

 

Fire alarm panels in B10, B16, B19, B33, and B34, will need to be put in test mode for both dates, and may sound in B7 if the battery back-up period is exceeded.

 

Staff - on your last work day prior to June 2, before leaving campus, please ensure that the following has been performed: 

·                     Notify intrusion alarm monitoring agencies about the planned outage

·                     Alternative arrangements have been made for any organisms that must be sustained which require a regulated temperature and/or cannot survive a change in temperature beyond 12 hours - i.e. any science lab experiments;

·                     All perishable items have been removed from faculty/staff refrigerators;  

·                     You have powered down all office equipment to include computers, printers and copiers before leaving your work area.

  1. PROJECT NAME:  Provide the official name of the project as it appears on SMCCCD/SMC documentation.

 

  1. PROJECT DESCRIPTION:  Provide a brief description of the project and work to be performed to include any anecdotal information such as the state of current conditions and the improvements that will result.

 

  1. SCHEDULE:  Provide dates of work to include commencement and completion time frames.  For projects that encompass more than one building or location on campus, please provide dates as they relate to each particular building(s)/locations.

CAMPUS IMPACT:  Please provide information as it relates to any disruptions in systems or services, potential noise issues to include times when this might occur, roadway or parking lot closures, etc.  For asbestos abatement work, the following language will be included (fill in the contractor’s name):

 

Work will be performed by a qualified contractor, CES/Bayview Environmental who is certified by the California Occupational Safety and Health Administration (Cal-OSHA) in the safe containment and removal of asbestos-containing materials.  All work areas will be sealed-off completely and monitored.  An independent certified asbestos inspector, hired by the District, will monitor the entire work process, to oversee and insure all safety and health regulations and codes are followed, and to test and certify that the air is free and clear of contaminates.  The regulatory requirements are intended to ensure the campus community is not exposed to asbestos fibers.
