My name is Beatriz Solari. I came from Lima-Peru about nine years ago.
I have always been inclined to the Life Sciences. Consequently, I went
to College of San Mateo and took several lower division Biology classes
and pre requisites to be able to transfer to California State University
Hayward to obtain my BS in Biological Science. During my staying at
Hayward, I was able to take Medical Physiology as an upper division
elective class. As a result, I developed a great interest in the entire
pathophysiology of the Respiratory System.
I decided to apply to the Respiratory Therapy Program at Skyline because
I am not only inclined to Human Medicine but also to be in contact with
people. I believe that a career that allow s a person to have direct
contact to people is the most rewarding one. For instance, a
respiratory therapist could change and touch the life of patients by
showing, sympathy, dedication and professionalism. My aspirations as a
future respiratory therapist are to contribute to the administration of
excellent care and take part of research to find more effective
techniques and treatments to improve the quality of care for patients
with cardiopulmonary deficiencies and critically ill.
