E. Dimacali
Well, hello everyone! My name is Erica Dimacali, I am 21 yrs. old and I
am filipino. I lived in the Bay Area all my life. I graduated from South San
Francisco High School in 1997, and I took 1 yr. off to just work. In 1998 I
enrolled in Skyline College planning to transfer to Cal State Hayward, but had no clue what I was going to major in. I just knew that I had to start
somewhere. I was also working for an Opthomalogist as a medical assistant for about 2 years. That helped me to realize that I wanted to work in the
medical field. But just doing exactly what was the question I asked myself.
I thought of being an RN nurse since my aunt is one, but deep down I knew that's not what I wanted to be doing. So one day while I was in my Human
Anatomy class, a speaker came in who was an R.R.T. She briefly explained what a Respiratory Therapist was, the variety of shifts one can do, but more
specifically- she talked about the money! I instantly got interested, I figured this was perfect for me! Good hours, good pay, stability, and most
importantly- it was something I could see myself doing- what more could I ask for? So here I am!!!
