My name is Ashika, I am from the Fiji Islands. I have been in the U.S almost my whole life. The reason I decided to go in to Respiratory Care was to gain experience working with patients and in the hospital environment. My main goal is to be a Physicians Assistant, I believe respiratory care will help me accomplish my goal.
RT also interested me because it specializes in one part of the body, which in return has a large effect on the rest of the systems. I also love to work with people but helping a person to live a better live gives me an indescribable satisfaction. Working in the medical field will help me do that. If my actions can help someone somehow; it,s worth the effort it takes to do so. Not only do people judge you by the changes and accomplishments in your own life, but also the effect you have on another persons life.
