Interactive CD rom.

On most new computers you can install the program for you CD by just placing your CD in you computer. You should exit all other programs if you want to install this program. Also you will be installing a new version of a web browser. I used Netscape and it worked very well for me. The program will require your computer to be online for some of the activities to work.

1	Activity	Activity titled Science as a process: Acid Participation. This is a rather lengthy activity, but it will help you understand the scientific process and also understand some basic ecological principals. If you have 20 minutes to spend, try it out. If you want this to go faster, you can read and use the next page button to move at a more rapid pace than the voice that reads the text.

5		Chapter 5 Macromolecules. I will lecture on macromolecules and the material covered on pages 62,65,68,76 and 81 in your text.
	Activity	I would recommend strongly for you to look at activity 5.1 on carbohydrate form and structure. However realize that I will not be expecting you to know all of this information. I want you to basically understand the 4 macromolecules that make up life. How they are basically structured and how they come together to make life. These basic molecular structures make up all of life. So the properties of the cells, tissues, organs and organisms that these structures ultimately depends on the properties of these molecules. Pretty need eh.
