1. Look to the left. Pivoting on the right foot, step to the left with the left foot (toward point A.) into a left front stance and left downward block. 2. Step forward with the right leg (toward point A.) into a right front stance and right front punch. Pause. 3. Look to the right. Turn clockwise 180 degrees (toward point B.) by bringing the right foot back to the left foot, pivoting on the left and then stepping into a right front stance and right downward block. 4. Bring right foot halfway back and simultaneously draw back right fist as in escaping an attacker's grasp. Describe a large vertical circle with the right fist, passing up across left shoulder, around and above head and down into a strong hammer fist strike, stopping at shoulder level (fist is vertical, back of fist is to the right). At the same time, slide the right foot forward again into the original right front stance. The left foot does not move. 5. Step forward with the left foot (toward point B.) into a left front stance and left front punch. Pause. 6. Look to the left. Pivoting on the right foot, bring left foot back and turn counterclockwise 90 degrees (toward line C.) while stepping forward (toward line C.) with the left foot into a left front stance and left downward block. The right foot pivots only, it does not move. 7. Open the left hand and raise it to a position in front of the forehead in a left upper block (palm is still open). Feet do not move. 8. Without pause, step forward with the right foot along line C, into a right front stance and execute a right upper block. 9. Step forward with the left foot along line C, into a left front stance and left upper block. 10. Step forward with the right foot along line C, into a right front stance and right upper block. Kiai with block. Long pause. 11. Look over your left shoulder. Bring your left foot to your right foot and pivot counterclockwise 270 degrees (toward point D.) stepping into a left front stance with left downward block. 12. Step forward with the right leg (toward point D.) into a right front stance and right front punch. Pause. 13. Look to the right. Turn clockwise 180 degrees (toward point E.) by bringing the right foot back to the left foot, pivoting on the left and then stepping into a right front stance and right downward block. 14. Step forward with the left foot (toward point E.) into a left front stance and left front punch. Pause. 15. Look to the left. Pivoting on the right foot bring left foot back and turn counterclockwise 90 degrees (toward line C.) while stepping forward (toward line C.) with the left foot into a left front stance and left downward block. The right foot pivots only, it does not move. (You are now at the intersection between line C and line E-D. You are facing down along line C, toward line A-B). 16. Step forward with the right foot along line C, into a right front stance and right front punch. 17. Step forward with the left foot along line C, into a left front stance and left front punch. 18. Step forward with the right foot along line C, into a right front stance and right front punch. Kiai with punch. Long pause. 19. Look over your left shoulder. Bring your left foot to your right foot and pivot counterclockwise 270 degrees (toward point A.) stepping into a back stance (left foot forward) with a left sword hand block. 20. Pivoting on the left foot and keeping left knee bent, step diagonally 45 degrees (toward point F.) with the right foot. Step into a back stance (right foot forward) with right sword hand block. 21. Look to the right. Pivot on the left foot clockwise 135 degrees (toward point B.) by bringing the right foot back and then extending it out toward Point B in a back stance (right foot forward). Simultaneously execute a right sword hand block. 22. Pivoting on the right foot and keeping right knee bent, step forward diagonally 45 degrees (toward point G.) with the left foot. Step into a back stance (left foot forward) with left sword hand block. Long pause. Yame Look to the front. Pivoting on the right foot bring left foot back and turn counterclockwise 45 degrees (toward line C.) to return to the original Yoi position The right foot pivots only, it does not move. You should end on the same spot (position X) that you began the kata. Bring hands and feet together and bow from the waist. Return to ready position.
