What is the result of teaching history in this way?
* Students cram info into short-term memory and
forget it in preparation of the next test.
* The dull, droning way history is taught causes
students to "zone out" during class= no emotion.
* Textbooks discourage students from learning
about history from their families/communities.
* History has no "real" skeletons=(no connection
between information means retention of the
information.
* Students are taught that their government is
never wrong.
* Cause and effect relationships are lost "No one
is to blame".
