Committee Reports

DITC (District Instructional Technology Council)  Anyta Archer reported that at their last meeting on Monday, 11/1, there was a recommendation made to the District to purchase Dell flat panel monitors.  They are also asking faculty/staff for any special needs for rooms that will be re-worked by the bond issue money.

Budget/Finance Committee for the District  This committee is working on a Resource Allocation Model.

IPC  - Regina Standback-Stroud will be replacing Bernie Blackman as the temporary chair person for this committee.

Shared Governance Committees  All Shared Governance Committees now have full classified staff representation on them.

Academic Senate asked for a classified staff ex-oficio representative.  Chuck Leach will fill this position.

Classified Staff Spring Retreat  A tentative date of Friday, 4/8/05 has been chosen.  Linda Herda is checking with the Best Western Lighthouse Hotel/Ristorante Portofino for availability and price on the same facility we had last year.  Donna Elliott has contacted CSEA about workshops that they offer.  The Classified Council Board has chosen ÒConflict Management 1Ó for the morning session and ÒFISH! For Fun in the WorkplaceÓ for the afternoon.  The cost is $5.00/person plus travel expense for the presenters.  We can get AB 1725 funds to cover most of the retreat costs.  Skyline Classified Council has been allotted $2290.16.  It was suggested that we consider the Butterfield Suites in South San Francisco as an alternative location.  Linda Ghio volunteered to help out Donna, Theresa and Linda Herda on the Retreat Committee.

December Basket Fundraiser Theresa Tentes will send out an e-mail to all Classified Council requesting donations of baskets or non-perishable food items.  The items will be collected by Cathy Welch and assembled by the basket committee made up of Cathy, Julene Rhoan and Anyta Archer.  The basket will be put on display in A & R. Char Wulbers will coordinate ticket sales.  The drawing will be held on Monday, 12/13.

TreasurerÕs Report  Theresa Tentes reported that we currently have $2358.08 available to spend.  Encumbered funds included:  $700/scholarships, $100/retirees plaque, $1277/faculty/staff scholarships, and $20.31/retreat.
