Step 3: Break Up
Tasks
The Tutor can ask the Student to identify the concepts and/or skills that are needed to do
the task
and can fill in any gaps in the Student's knowledge. This shows the logic structure of the task and
sets the agenda for the work to be done.
- Tutor:
- OK. First, I want you to explain
chi-square to me as if I knew
nothing about stats. This will show you how well you understand chi-square.
- Student:
- OK. I'll try.
- Tutor:
- After that, you can work some
sample problems to see what you
have to brush up on.
