After
this meeting we will know the answer to the following questionsand more.
* The committees
that are not shared governance but have classified as ex officio members; are
they under the CSEA rules of member selection?
* How are the
committee members selected?
* Does the
Classified Council select the member and then contact CSEA to get an approval
N* Does
CSEA select the member and then contact the Classified Council?
* The Classified
Council is made up of CSEA, AFCME, all non-represented classified employees,
which includes classified supervisors and management positions. For shared
governance committees do we only draw from only the CSEA members?
* What are the
committee memberŐs responsibilities aside from attending?
* Are they to give
a monthly report to the classified council? If yes, must it be in person or can they send a note to a CC
member to be read?
* If a committee
decides they want more classified on their committee, who are they to contact,
do they just tell those already on the committee or are they to call the president of the CC or CSEA?
* Can a shared
governance committee chair request that the classified member be removed?
* How can the CC
and the CSEA know if the committee member is showing up for all meeting?
* If I am on a
committee and I decide I nolonger wish to be on the committee for whatever
reason. What is the correct
procedure to follow?
