NOTE: The computer science major deals with the theoretical as well as the practical aspects of computer technology. A strong mathematical background is important in Computer Science. All transfer programs require calculus. Students may also wish to explore majors in Computer Information Systems (CIS) or Management Information Systems (MIS) offered through the Business Administration departments at many California State Universities.
