Transfer Opportunities for Telecommunications Technicians

When considering transfer programs be aware that at some colleges and universities a major in "Telecommunications" means television or broadcast production, management or journalism.

Many schools are now using the terms "Information Technologies" or "Information Systems" for their programs relating to telecommunications.

Transfer opportunities in Telecommunications Technology are somewhat limited at the bachelor's degree level. The following local schools offer programs in Telecommunications Management:

 CSU East Bay

Additional programs in fields related to telecommunications technology can be found in the Engineering Departments of many 4-year colleges and universities. Telecommunication Management & Policy may also be offered at the graduate level as a concentration for a Master's of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
