Approved Minutes
In attendance:
Lynne Douglas, Cindy Moss, Tadashi Tsuchida, Paul Spakowski, Garry Nicol, Melchie Cabrigas, Sherri Hancock, Jennifer Hughes and Evelyn Seth
1. Approved last month’s minutes.
2. Garry reported on the last Academic Senate meeting
3. Cindy showed Academic Integrity Survey that was sent out. More next year.
4. Student Code of Conduct agenda item tabled because sponsor Bridget Fischer absent
5. The Credit by Test polices finalized by making some last minor revisions in the CLEP section.
Jennifer was to make sure the new policy made it into the new catalog
6. Evelyn was pleased to deliver the good news that the state would start making matriculation site visits again after suspending them for budget reasons since 1994. Skyline has a year to prepare. On November 16th of this year Skyline will host a meeting of CCC matriculation professionals.
7. No updates from Sherri from the Degree Audit Steering Committee.
8. Handed out Revised Grievance Form
Approved with minor changes. Sherri and Jennifer will make copies and distribute it to division deans.
9. Goals for next year.
a. Review Degree Audit Steering Committee recommendations
b. Review the Academic Adjustments Policy for students with disabilities
c. Review current policy on academic integrity in light of new data from faculty and solicit similar info from students
