3. Meeting times: 1:30 – 3:00. Meeting dates for the 2007-2008 academic year: Sept. 4, Oct. 2, Nov. 6, Dec. 4, Feb. 5, March 4, April 1, May 6. All meetings are in 5131.

4. I would like revisit the goals that were presented at the end of the last academic year and make a list of short term and long term goals for the academic year.  I have consulted with Gary and was given the contact person for the following projects. I’d like for the contact person to give us a status report on the following:

5. Sherri Hancock: Agenda  item: Revise student handbook and college catalog language for course repetition and Ws (are there new restrictions?), as well as grade alleviation, to reflect compliance with new Title 5 Ed Code regulations.  Make sure that all changes in GPA and calculations and academic renewal have been accurately updated.

6. Lori Adrian:  Agenda item:   Include mention of the Federal Educational Rights to Privacy Act (FERPA) in the Skyline Faculty Handbook and include directions to faculty for how to comply. (Can you propose language for this?)

7. Cindy Moss: Agenda item:   Continue to support the honors statistics class in measuring the campus climate.  Possible new topic: security.

8. Cindy Moss: Do we want to do anything else with cheating/plagiarism?

9. Continue to support the revision on the DSPS form and procedures for filing initial grievances and subsequent appeals of a grievance decision.  Explore ways to streamline the current accommodations request procedures from the faculty perspective. (We can decide which meeting to invite Lynn Douglas to give us a briefing.)

10 Lori Adrian: Agenda item: Ask the VP of Student Services to draft language to repair previously identified weaknesses in the student grievance and appeals form. (Should we suggestions more students on the committee? Is there a clear distinction between work related and non work related).
