:2. Consideration of timeframes for appeals policy
Extend current timeline from 5 days to 10 days in which to provide decision to the student.
Change definition of "days" from business days to instructional days.
Action
:Evelyn will call Barbara Christensen for the District Rules and Regs. definition of "working days".
3. Development of form(s) for appeals process
Action
:Megan will bring copies of the "Formal Appeal Request" form for discussion at next meeting.
4. Appeals policy for disabled students requesting academic accommodations – include Academic Review Committee in process.
Item tabled until completion of policy for student grievances.
5. Drafting a ‘Policy Signature’ form – a form to be used when action has been
taken or a policy decision made (to include policy, date and required signatures).
Action
:Bridget offered to develop a draft of a ‘signature page’ for discussion at next meeting.
6. Other:
Pete Pontacq brought up the GPA issue with concurrent enrollment program. It seems we required a 2.0 GPA on academic classes for concurrent enrollment.
Action
:Sherri will review the concurrent enrollment policy and will bring the issue to the Enrollment Services meeting. She will report at the next Ed Policy meeting.
