Duplicating
Copiers are available in Division Offices and the Evening Office for
making fewer than 50 copies and for "quick runs."
Day faculty should arrange through their Division Office
for photocopying and duplicating services by Central Duplicating. Central
Duplicating requests must have the signature of the Division Dean or Division
Assistant. Evening faculty arrange for Central Duplicating services through
the Evening Secretary. A copier is also available in the Evening Workroom/Mailroom
(Room 2226). You may obtain a code and/or assistance from the evening
secretary.
Graphic Arts and Production/Central Duplicating: This service is for
most reproduction jobs. It is the most cost-effective means of duplication
of materials. All work to be processed in Central Duplicating must be
typed ready-to-print and submitted at least 2 working days in advance.
Forms should be filled out and left with the Division Assistant or the
Evening Secretary, who will secure approval from the Division Dean. Completed
work will be placed in faculty mailboxes.

Office Space
The College attempts to provide office space to all regular and contract
faculty. Office space is at a premium at Skyline College and is not available
on a consistent basis to part-time faculty, particularly evening faculty.
You are encouraged to talk with your Division Dean to arrange some desk
(and drawer) space, if you have a need for such.
However, many evening faculty provide time for meeting
with individual students. You may use your classroom (as your office)
for this purpose provided there is no class scheduled there.
Psychological Services
All students at Skyline College are eligible for short-term psychological
counseling, provided through the health service fees they pay at registration.
A counselor, Beverly Muse, is available to see students during specified
days and hours. Appointments can be made at the DSPS Office Building 2,
Room 2243, or by calling 738-4280 between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Security
Security and parking enforcement are provided by security staff, who
are on duty both day and evening. Security staff are available by pager
through the Security Office (Ext. 4199) in the day and through the Evening
College Office (Ext. 4206 or 4256).
Supplies
Requests for supplies (e.g. paper, pens, staples, memo pads, letterhead,
etc.) are handled through your Division Office or the Evening Office.
Most supplies requests are routine and can be accommodated quickly. If
you have an unusually large request or a request for non-routine items,
filling your order may take some time. Faculty should not purchase supplies
on their own and expect to be reimbursed. Any purchases, however small,
need to be approved by your Division Dean.
Telephones
Telephones with Phone Mail capabilities are provided for all full-time
faculty. Phones in faculty offices are equipped for calls to the following
area codes: 415, 408, 510, 650, 707. Long-distance phone calls outside
these area codes must be placed through Division Offices.
Faculty are encouraged to give students their office
phone number so that messages can be left directly in the Phone Mail box.
Instructions on the operation of the college Phone Mail system is provided
at the District Portal page, under downloads
and search for Phone Mail. Adjunct (part-time) faculty are asked to request
an Auxiliary Phone Mail box by filling out a form located in the division
office or the evening office. Instructions will be given about how to
access this Phone Mail box from off-campus.
Pay phones are located in the following buildings:
Bldg. 2 - The third floor in the hall outside
of the cafeteria.
Bldg. 5 - The first floor of Bldg. 5 (near restrooms).
