Robert Poplack is a practicing painter who has exhibited his work nationally. Robert works abstractly in the studio and paints outdoors from nature as a long-standing discipline. He is currently an Associate Professor of Art and Director of the Wiegand Gallery at Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, California. He taught the Outdoor Painters Project for seven years at University of California at Santa Cruz and was an instructor in the Art Department at Santa Rosa Junior College from 1989 - 1999. Robert was a guest curator for the D.U.M.B. O. (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) Arts Center in New York in 2002, and has curated numerous exhibitions and authored essays for their accompanying publications at NDNU’s Wiegand Gallery.
