Gale Health and Wellness Resource Center: an excellent database that is available from off-campus--as long as you have a library card:

  • To search only for articles that include the full text (the whole article) in the database, check the "articles with text" box next to "Limit the current search" (below the text entry box)
  • To narrow searches, combine concepts with AND.

ASM Microbiology Journals: The American Society for Microbiology provides a free database of articles from its 10 journals (listed below), including full text from January 1998 to the present and abstracts only from January 1992 to December 1997. How to use the ASM journals database

BioMed Central: Over 180 Open Access (free) journals covering all areas of Biology and Medicine. Registration required.

PubMed Central: Archive of full-text biomedical and life sciences journal literature at the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH), developed and managed by NIH's National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) in the National Library of Medicine (NLM)
