COAST CONFERENCE FINALS RESULTS


Skyline will be sending two of their top players to next weekends California Community College State Badminton Playoffs in Irvine. Nour Abudamous, Skyline's #1 singles player qualified with a forth place finish at the Coast Conference Championships this past weekend. Rachell Berania also qualified for the singles tournament as the # 8 seed from the Coast Conference.

Abudamous and Berania will team up to represent Skyline as the #3 ranked doubles team from the Coast Conference.











TROJANS OPEN CONFERENCE WITH THREE WINS IN A ROW
April 10, 2009

The Skyline College Badminton team opened the 2009 Coast Conference season with three wins in the first three matches.

SKYLINE 11, FRESNO 10


Skyline hosted Fresno City College and pulled out a 11-10 win at home to move to 3-0 in conference play.
#1 Nour Abudamous #2 Rachell Berania and #3 Amalia Personiuseach won both of their singles matches to give Skyline a 6-0 lead. #5 Singles player Kaide Leviste secured an important point with a 20-22, 21-16, 21-10 win over Fresno's # 6 singles player to give Skyline a 7-5 lead headed into doubles play.

In doubles Skyline's #1 team of Abudamous and Berania swept their two matches 21-14, 23-21 and 21-12, 21-14 to secure the final four points needed for the vistory.

SKYLINE 11, DE ANZA 10 Skyline edged De Anza College of Cupertino at home, 11-10. Skyline's #1 singles player Nour Abudamous swept both of her matches, 21-19, 16-21, 21-18 and 21-11, 21-6. #2 Rachell Berania also grabbed a point in singles for Skyline, as did #3 Amalia Personius, #4 Jasmin To and #5 Kaide Leviste.

In doubles, the team of Abudamous and Berania won twice 21-16, 10-21, 21-19 and 21-10, 21-18.

SKYLINE 20, MISSION 1

Each Trojans scored at least one point as Skyline moved to 2-0 in the Coast Conference after a 20-1 win over Mission College of Santa Clara.
