during the 2002-2003 season.
High School: Sal averaged 17 points and 13 rebounds
his Junior season for Lincoln Prep in San Diego. Sal
transferred to Oakland Tech his senior year but sat
out to concentrate on his academics. It paid off as he
became a full-qualifier and landed a scholarship to
Oregon State University. Sal was chosen
"All-Tournament" at the infamous Bushrod Tournament
in Oakland.
