2008 SCVB Summer Camp
To Offer the Division II Experience You will be immersed in the intercollegiate experience. Our goal is to give you the tools to become a go-to player that is also a standout student in the classroom. You will learn advanced volleyball theory and skills, while you learn the step to getting notice by top school. Improve Your Skill Set You will learn what the best position that matches your physical build and skill set. We will breakdown your major errors and give you individualized drills to help you improve. Video training sessions which will allow you to see yourself executing a skills. This will illustrate your strength and weakness in your game. You will receive daily practice stats, and monthly game stats with a DVD that you can use to start the recruiting process. Getting Recruited by 4-year Universities Many players and parents are unaware on how to get recruited to a strong and principled program. Our summer camp will teach you how to get coaches to notice you and the steps you need to take to get recruited. We take a a systematic approach with small weekly tasks. You will also learn how to conduct yourself at campus visits, interviews, tryouts, and practices. Improve Your Mental Toughness Through weekly homework assignments, you will learn to find your voice on the court. You will learn meditation, daily affirmations, and visualizes that will teach you how to shake off mistake and build on your successes. How to be present and fearless on the court. By the end of the summer you will know the true competitor within you. Day Camp- Sunday June 29th 10:00-6:00pm
The day camp was designed for athletes that can not make a commitment to the summer-length camp. The day camp with cover on improving volleyball skills. The day will begin with a skill assessment. Then SCVB coaching staff will lead participates through short lesson plans in serving, setting, passing, digging, blocking transition, and approaches. If time permits we will cover quick-set attacks.
