Skyline Hires Trisha Hosley as Head Women’s Basketball Coach
For Immediate Release
April 9, 2007

Skyline College is happy to announce that Trisha (Felts) Hosley has agreed to become the Head Coach of our Women’s Basketball Program. Trisha replaces Brittany Lindhe who led the team to a 14-14 record last season and a 5th place finish in the Coast Conference North Division.

Trisha is a product of Sacred Heart Preparatory in Atherton, California where she was a four-year letter winner and was a part of three CIF State and Nor-Cal and four Central Coast Section championship teams. She received a basketball scholarship from the University of Portland where she was voted team captain for three years. Trisha served as an Assistant at Skyline last season and is currently working on her master’s degree and teaching credential at Dominican University.

Skyline Athletic Director, Joe Morello, has the following comments regarding the hiring of Trisha Hosley: “We are thrilled to have Trish become our women’s basketball coach. I felt her skills, abilities and personality were a perfect fit for our institution. In selecting Trish, I think four things really were decisive. One, I was impressed by her pedagogical and analytical skills. She has a first rate intellect and will be an excellent teacher and administrator of the program. Two, I was impressed by her experiences as a player at the four-year level. She is someone who is familiar with the recruitment and matriculation process based on first hand experience. I’m sure once local coaches and students take the time to get to know Trisha, they will be impressed by her genuine care and concern for the academic and athletic well-being of any person in her program and how that will relate in recruiting and matriculating student-athletes. Third, I was impressed by her inter-personal skills. She has a personality that can work with a wide range of students and also fit well with our staff in the Physical Education, Athletics and Dance Division at Skyline. And four, in selecting Trisha, I think it provides stability and continuity to the program. She will be able to build on the foundation established by Brittany last season.”
