Revising
Course Outlines with SLOs
- All
course outlines must be revised with SLOs by Fall
2010.
- New
course outline templates are available on the Skyline
Curriculum Committee
website.

progress on updating course outlines with SLOs, please click

Integrating Assessment into Program Review
- This model timeline was proposed by the SLOAC Steering Committee and was approved by the Curriculum Committee in Fall 2006.
- All Programs are expected to create an assessment plan this Fall, design any necessary instruments for assessment such as surveys and rubrics in the Spring, implement the assessment plan the following Fall, and analyze the data in the following Spring. See the Framework for downloadable worksheets, and contact Karen if you'd like SLOAC Steering Committee members to assist in any capacity.
- The Program Review Instrument has been updated, with a section focusing on SLOS and assessment. Access the Skyline Curriculum Committee's website, specifically accessing "The Self Study" and the "Course Outline and Prerequisite Checklist" forms for those undergoing program review in 2007 and beyond.
- Another update of the Program Review instrument is a tool to map core courses to institutional outcomes, which you are encouraged to complete with your colleagues.

progress on designing assessment plans, assessing, and analyzing the
results of the assessment, please click

Adopting Institutional Outcomes
With considerable input from the entire Skyline community, the following Institutional Student Learning Outcomes were crafted and approved by the SLOAC Steering Committee and forwarded to the Curriculum Committee on May 16, 2007. Institutional Student Learning Outcomes articulate the core competencies that students will be able to demonstrate upon completing an A.A./ A.S. degree and/or transfer preparation.
