Connecting to the Internet - ISPs

Connecting to the Internet requires a connection to a network either internally, such as a connection within a large business or college campus which maintains its own server, or externally, such as a connection to an ISP ( Internet Service Provider) which maintains the server for you to use. Some common ISPs are ATT, Comcast and Sprint. Generally, these companies offer services costing anywhere from 6.95 per month (dial up speed) to $19.95 per month for fast speed access.  Services are often bundled with telephone and television cable.
