There are a limited number of one time scholarships for new international students ranging from $250 up to the full cost of tuition for one year each depending on availability of funds.
All scholarship applications must be submitted no later than July 1 for the Fall Semester and no later than November 15 for the Spring Semester. Only students who have been admitted will be considered for scholarships.
Scholarship applications will be reviewed when they are submitted, therefore prospective students are encouraged to apply early. Funds are limited and not all applicants will receive scholarships.
Global Beca International Student Scholarship
To apply for the Global Beca International Student Scholarship, complete the required application form available here. You will need to have the following items ready to attach to your application:
1. A typed 250-300 word Personal Insight Statement regarding your program of study
and how San Mateo Colleges of Silicon Valley will contribute to your academic and
career goals. We would like you to include in your personal insight statement your
response to the following questions:
a. What have you done academically that prepares you for your future success?
b. Why do you believe activities outside the classroom are also important for your future success?
c. How would financial support for your education benefit you and your family?
2. A letter of recommendation from a teacher, administrator, employer, community or church leader.
